Drop of Olive Oil to Remove Fingerprints on Stainless Steel
Do fingerprints on your fridge drive you mad? Well S&S Janitorial Services has a solution for you. “You can use a drop of oil (olive oil or even baby oil will work) on a paper towel to shine stainless steel to get rid of any fingerprints you may have missed during cleaning. This also works to keep the surface cleaner for longer. Just buff the oil in following the grain of the stainless, then wipe off any excess with a clean paper towel. Cornstarch & Vinegar to Make Windows Crystal Clear
The secret is to add a teaspoon of cornstarch to a cup of white vinegar and a cup of water. The glass becomes shiny and crystal clear. The cornstarch is the magic ingredient as it is a very fine natural abrasive that helps work away grime and will leave behind a streak-free shine.

 

 

 

White Vinegar for Dreaded Mineral Deposits
Another use for white vinegar, after cleaning your windows is to remove water spots and mineral deposits on bathroom and kitchen faucets and fixtures. Everyone agrees they are eyesores and tough to remove. Just saturate a microfiber cloth or paper towel with white vinegar and set over/on the deposits. Let sit for 5 to 15 minutes, then wipe away. How does it work? The acid in the vinegar breaks down the deposits, and just like magic the deposits are gone, leaving you the shine you wanted. You can clean a shower head using the same trick: either remove the shower-head and place it in a bucket with white vinegar or fill a shopping bag with vinegar, tie it around the shower-head, and leave it overnight to soak. Then all you have to do is run the shower in the morning to rinse it clean.
